Harvest Fest vendors must register by Sept. 1

CITIZEN STAFF REPORT

INEZ — Now is the time for vendors to register for a spot in the 25th Annual Harvest Festival.

Non-food vendors have until Sept. 1 to secure their places at the festival Sept. 16 and 17 behind the courthouse in Inez.

Spaces will be 10 feet by 10 feet, and vendors must bring their own table, chairs, tent and additional lighting.

Craft/retail space is $40, and information booth is only $10.

Vendors can set up before 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16. Vendors cannot set up or move during normal festival hours.

Vendors may also set their tents and tables up Thursday evening. However, all items left Thursday are “at your own risk.” The festival will not provide security Thursday but will provide a watchman Friday night. Again, those items left Friday are “at your own risk.”

Once the festival is over, organizers ask that vendors pick up their areas and leave them in an acceptable condition to the Kiwanis Club. Leaving products or trash behind will be considered for acceptance in future years.

Vendors who have any electrical issues can seek advice from festival coordinators and an electrician will be contacted. The festival will not provide extension cords, multi-strips, water hoses, carts, etc. Vendors must provide what it takes to reach the electricity supply.

The following items are prohibited from sale during the festival:

• Any item bearing the Kiwanis or Harvest Festival logo.

• Any item bearing the names of any entertainers performing at the festival.

• Alcohol, tobacco or firearms of any kind.

• Sale or use of any gambling devices.

• Sale or use of any spray paint for hair, crazy string, etc.

• Sale of anything with offensive language or art.

Cancellations can be made for emergencies until Sept. 1. Vendors must request in writing or by email and include the reason for the cancellation and a formal request for a refund.
