Edna M. Stepp
1934—2022

Edna M. Stepp, 87, passed away Aug. 7, 2022, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, W.Va.

Born Aug. 9, 1934, on Marrowbone Creek in Kermit, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Boyd and Dicie Brewer.

Edna was a lifelong educator and retired school teacher with Mingo County Schools. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, going to sporting events and modeling how to live your best life serving God.

In addition to her parents, Edna is preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Lewis Jay (L.J.) Stepp, brothers Paul, Hercel Gomer, Tom and Thurman and sisters Hazel and Ivory.

Survivors include her daughters Vanessa (Bobby) Muncy of Gallipolis, Ohio, and Denise (Dennis) Johnson of Huntington, W.Va., grandchildren Cameron (Brittany) Muncy of Gallipolis, Ohio, Colton Johnson and Cintry Johnson, both of Huntington, W.Va., and great-granddaughter Ansley Muncy of Gallipolis, Ohio. Edna leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends and extended family.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Aug. 14, 2022, at the Warfield Chapel of the Callaham Funeral Home, with Otis Linville officiating. Burial was at the Stepp Family Cemetery, under the direction of Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
