INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:
Mark Carter, 56, of Lovely, was arrested Monday in Warfield on alcohol intoxication. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest and reported that he received a call about a man either dead or passed out at the shed at IGA. He arrived to find Carter passed out.
Lacy Scott, 55, of Lovely, was arrested Monday in Warfield on alcohol intoxication in a public place. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest and reported Scott was passed out at the shed at Warfield IGA.
Thomas Arlon Smith Jr., 36, of Warfield, was arrested Saturday in Warfield on public intoxication. Constable Bradford Preece made the arrest.
Jonathan R. Deaton, 29, of West Liberty, was arrested Saturday in Beauty on a warrant from Morgan County. Deputy John C. Kirk made the arrest.
Clayton Jude, 48, of Warfield, was arrested Friday in Warfield on public intoxication (excludes alcohol) and a bench warrant. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest and reported that Jude was staggering through the parking lot at the Family Dollar, failed a field sobriety test, admitted he was on suboxone, and had used methamphetamine. Kirk said the caller said Jude was talking about seeing tigers.
Jeremy Tyler Jude, 26, of Tomahawk, was arrested Thursday in Inez on criminal trespassing and theft by unlawful taking under $500. Constable Bradford Preece responded to a call about a Jude stripping bark from trees on private property. Preece said the homeowner advised Jude that he did not want him on their property and had him next to his garage when Preece arrived.
Mary Sue Porter, 49, of Debord, was arrested Thursday in Debord on public intoxication controlled substance (excludes alcohol). Sheriff Kirk made the arrest and reported that he was dispatched to a person that was high and walking around disorderly. Kirk said Porter’s mother said Porter was high on methamphetamine. “Porter was sweating profusely and flinging her arms in the air, talking out of her head,” Kirk said, adding that she admitted to smoking meth.
Megan Neidlinger, 27, of Tomahawk, was arrested Thursday in Inez on a bench warrant. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest.
Charles Kenny Crum, 22, of Inez, was arrested July 18 in Inez on fleeing or evading police and drug paraphernalia buy/possession. Deputy K. Maynard made the arrest and reported finding an empty syringe on Crum. Maynard said Crum admitted the syringe had meth in it.
Laresia L Copley, 32, of Louisa, was arrested July 18 in Warfield on criminal trespassing. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest and reported Copley was inside an apartment at Demspey Housing and refused to leave when the manager asked her to leave. Kirk said Copley knew she was barred from the complex.
