Motorcycle wreck on Route 40
A weekend motorcycle ride from Simpsonville to the Dingess Tunnel did not end well for Mark Franklin, who lost control of his 2006 Yamaha on Route 40 in Beauty. Martin County Sheriff’s Deputy Tyler Lafferty said the bike began to slide, and the rider fell off, suffering head and arm injuries. The motorcycle traveled another 150 feet and landed in Buck Creek.
