Molly Stepp Hinkle
1928—2022
Molly Stepp Hinkle, 94, of Inez, went home to be with her savior Friday, July 15, 2022, at her home.
Born Feb. 7, 1928, in Martin County, she was the daughter of the late Freddie and Dicey Muncy Stepp. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Bill Hinkle in 2009, sisters Ellen Davis, Gladys Stepp, Alice Davis, Nancy Jewell and Tina Dicher and brothers Theodore Stepp, Bill Stepp, Milton Stepp and Jasper Stepp.
Molly is survived by her son Robert (Brenda) Hinkle, grandchildren Bobby (Jackie) Hinkle, Susan (Danny) Bowen, Robin (Chris) Gamble and Lisa (Kenny) Spencer, great-grandchildren Cody Bowen, Robby Bowen, Jake Spencer and Johanna Hinkle and step-grandson Zack McKenzie.
Ma Molly enjoyed writing and singing songs and playing her guitar. She also loved her dogs, especially Little Joe. She loved quoting the Bible, which she read faithfully. She was of the Holy Ghost faith.
Molly also loved horses, which she rode a lot when she was young. She had a passion for helping needy people; she liked giving them clothes and food. No one came to her home and left hungry or without a coat, shirt, pants, shoes, or whatever she thought they could use. She enjoyed driving, which she did up until three weeks before her death.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, July 18, 2022, at the Little Calf Creek Church in Inez, with Theodore Dalton officiating. Burial was at the Hinkle Cemetery, under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
