INEZ — A crowd gathered to partake in the makeup Independence Day celebration Saturday in Inez.

Kicking off the event, festival-goers munched on items from food trucks and drank famous Kiwanis Club lemonade, browsed vendor stations in the community center parking lot, and enjoyed the camaraderie as they watched the Kiwanis parade on Main Street.

The celebration highlight was after dark when the Inez Volunteer Fire Department put on its annual fireworks display.
