Bessie Louise Johnson

1946—2022

Bessie Louise Johnson, 76, of Inez, went home to be with the Lord Monday, July 4, 2022.

Born April 17, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Columbus and Stella Maynard Bowen. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Hobert Johnson and siblings June Bowen, Tony Johnson, Paul Edward Bowen, Arnold Lee Bowen, Virgil Bowen, Douglas Bowen, Mae Maynard and Opal Johnson. 

Bessie is survived by her children Tommy (Felicia) Johnson of Smith Grove, Billy (Mandy) Johnson of Louisa and Stella (Jeff) Blackburn of Ashville, Ohio; grandchildren Braxton (Ballie Hart) Johnson, Justin (Keeley) Johnson, Jordan (Casey) Johnson, Jacob Blackburn, Jaxon Johnson and Jessika Johnson; and great-granddaughter Vivian Harper Johnson. 

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at the Callaham Funeral Home in Inez, with David Bowen and Doc Maynard officiating. Burial was at the Bowen Cemetery, under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home.
