William ‘Riley’ Muncy

1941—2022

William “Riley” Muncy Sr., 81, passed away June 21, 2022.

He was born Feb. 5, 1941, to the late Flem and Pattie Muncy. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife Joyce, brother Flem Jr. and sisters Sinda, Fannie, Ruth and Ethel.

Riley is survived by his sister Janie Muncy; brother Paul; children Rhonda (Samme) Jacks, William (Tammy) Muncy, Tammy S. Muncy, Mark (Kimberly) Muncy and Douglas (Jessica) Muncy; special friend and nephew Floyd Messer; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Riley loved raising dogs, hunting and fishing, and being with his family. He was a kind and gentle soul and will be missed terribly by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 24, 2022, at the Old Jennies Creek Baptist Church. Burial was in the Carter-Messer Cemetery, under the direction of Mullins Family Funeral Home of Warfield.
