Dear Editor:
From 1920-1933 alcohol and blood flowed in comparable amounts.
Moonshiners and bootleggers had to keep double book accounts.
The lawmen and bounty hunters doggedly chased them down,
Until the inebriated were rounded up and found.
What has taught us of any and all addictions?
That we are not healed with man’s inflictions.
So, seek out the pastors and priests,
Fall to your knees to be released.
Once again, we are repeating ourselves with addictions,
The answer lies in giving those demons walking papers called evictions.
If you let them hang around you will need a pastor,
Call upon the Lord or else live as the deceased and face disaster.
