GREENUP — Two Greenup County juveniles were arrested Wednesday for the murder of a family member in Greenup.

Kentucky State Police detectives say Thersa Martin, 49, was shot and stabbed in her bedroom by a family member under age 18. The homicide occurred in the 900 block of Darby Hollow Road.

Police say a second juvenile brought the handgun to the residence after the other told them the plan.

One juvenile is charged with murder and the other is charged with murder complicity.

Both are lodged in the Boyd County Juvenile Detention Center.
