Richard Ray Young

1964—2022

Richard Ray Young, 57, of Beckley, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2022, at the McDowell Nursing and Rehab Center in Gary, W.Va.

Born Aug. 25, 1964, in Lancaster, Pa., he was the son of the late Bobby B. Young Sr. and Glinda Sue Pierce. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Bobby B. Young Jr., and his wife, Selena Young.

Richard is survived by his sons, Jeremy Michael Young of Ashland, Richard Ray Young (Cheryl Hall) of Marietta, Ohio; daughters, Tiffany Leann Young (Paul Bowen), Ora Rushelle Young, both of Kermit, W.Va., and Glenda Nichole (K.C. Warner) of Charleston, W.Va.; and 15 grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, George Young of Crum, W.Va.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, June 6, 2022, at Mullins Family Funeral Home in Warfield, with Sammy Ray Patrick officiating. Burial was at the family cemetery on Summers Fork in Crum, W.Va., under the direction of Mullins Family Funeral Home.
