Two register for nonpartisan races

INEZ — Several candidates have filed their papers to run for city and school board elections in Martin County as the nonpartisan deadline approaches.

Warfield City Commissioner Michael D. Hinkle filed Thursday to run for Warfield Mayor. He is currently unopposed.

Martin County Board of Education Member James “Bowie” Clark filed Monday for re-election in District 2 and is currently unopposed.

Earlier this month, Mayor Ed Daniels and Commissioner Dennis Hall filed candidacy paperwork in the Inez Mayor race.

Two Inez Commission candidates have registered, Commissioner Terry Fraley and Inez resident Floyd David Jude.

The deadline to file for non-partisan races in Kentucky is June 7 at 4 p.m.
