Performs single with ‘Idol’ winner Noah Thompson
COLUMBIA NASHVILLE / SONY MUSIC
NASHVILLE – Nashville country star Kameron Marlowe made an appearance on ABC’s “American Idol” Sunday night to surprise contestant Noah Thompson during his hometown show in Louisa.
Thompson famously auditioned for the hit singing competition with Marlowe’s breakout song “Giving You Up,” earning himself a “yes” from all three judges and a ticket to Hollywood.
Marlowe met Thompson in his hometown to sing the ballad together in front of a crowd of Thompson’s small-town supporters. This performance aired during the show’s three-hour finale that ended with Thompson being crowned season 20’s “American Idol.”
This appearance comes on the heels of Marlowe’s continued streaming and radio successes. “Steady Heart,” Marlowe’s fastest-growing track to date, continues to gain virality on social media and has reached No. 6 on Sirius/XM’s The Highway Hot 30. With more than 310 million on-demand career streams and new single “Giving You Up” climbing the country radio charts, Marlowe continues to solidify himself as the most exciting new artist in country.
As opening stints for Brad Paisley, Riley Green and more prove his rising star status, it was recently announced Marlowe would make his CMA Fest debut on the popular Riverfront Stage. He is also set to perform at Country Thunder festivals across North America and will soon open on select dates for Morgan Wallen’s DANGEROUS Tour. He’ll also join Luke Combs, Cody Jinks and more for Buckeye Country Superfest at Ohio Stadium on July 23.
