Laura Williams of Jenny’s Creek Road, Kermit, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022.

Born May 29, 1978, in Mingo County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles Warrix. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her grandmother, Ida Bailey.

She is survived by a significant other, Leroy Chaffins Jr. of Ft. Gay, W.Va.; stepson, Terry Lee Chaffins of Calhoun, Ga.; daughters, Ariel Brewer, Deanna Chaffins, both of Kermit, W.Va., Latasha Ann Chaffins and Lisa Chaffins, both of Fort Gay, W.Va.; grandchildren, Brixleigh Anthena Muncy, Joyce Montgomery Muncy and Kyla, McKenzie, Caden and Rowdy Chaffins; two sisters, Melanie and Maranda Messer, both of Kermit, W.Va.; and four half brothers. She also leaves behind several extended family members and a stepmother Susie Ward of Frost Proof, Fla.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Mullins Family Funeral Home, Warfield, with Baptist Ministries officiating. Burial was at the Chaffins Cemetery on Marrowbone Creek. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
