INEZ — Inez Mayor Ed Daniels registered last week for re-election to his seat.

Daniels faces Inez Commissioner Dennis Hall in the November General Election.

Two candidates have registered to run for Inez City Commission, Commissioner Terry Fraley and resident Floyd David Jude.

Candidates for nonpartisan races in cities that have waived the primary must file by the first Tuesday after the first Monday in June (June 7), which is more than two months earlier than the previous deadline in August.

The deadline to file as a write-in candidate in the Nov. 8 General Election is the fourth Friday of October (Oct. 28).
