INEZ — The Cardinals brought home a win for their seniors Thursday. Colin Horn and Chase Moore were presented with gifts and introduced alongside their family members before the game.
Horn, a four-year veteran, wears No. 3 for the Cards. He is the son of longtime Martin County teacher Jimmy Horn and his “Momma” Mary Lynn Horn.
A member of the academic team, Horn has received a scholarship for Mechanical Engineering and will be a Wildcat at the University of Kentucky. He loves to play golf and his favorite Cardinal moment is winning the Hager Bowl vs. Floyd Central.
His advice for future players: “Success starts with passion. If you know why you’re playing, you’ll be the best you can be.”
Moore, sporting No. 7 on his jersey, was joined by his parents Ryan and Nikki Moore. He has maintained a 3.767 GPA and is a member at the Martin County ATC. He plans to attend Big Sandy Community and Technical College’s lineman program to prepare him for CSX Railroad.
Moore’s favorite Cardinal moment was being at Myrtle Beach his freshman year.
Moore’s advice: “Learn to leave your mistakes behind you and don’t let them affect the next play.”
The seniors still have district play left. They would love your support when the tournament begins May 16 at Johnson Central in Paintsville.
