INEZ — Another candidate has thrown his hat in the ring for Inez City Commission.

Floyd David Jude, 41, registered Thursday at the Martin County Clerk’s Office.

Jude is the third candidate to declare in the Inez City races.

He joins Commissioner Terry Fraley who seeks re-election to the Commission and Commissioner Dennis Hall, who is running for the mayor’s seat.

Candidates for nonpartisan races in cities that have waived the primary must file by the first Tuesday after the first Monday in June (June 7), which is more than two months earlier than the previous deadline in August.

The deadline to file as a write-in candidate in the Nov. 8 General Election is the fourth Friday of October (Oct. 28).
