A car crashed into a garden Tuesday at a residence on Middlefork Road in Inez.

Martin County Sheriff’s Deputy Wesley Endicott assisted Sheriff John Kirk at the scene.

Endicott says the car, driven by 65-year-old William Spencer of Debord, scraped against the guardrail for about 1,000 feet on the wrong side of the road.

It came to a final stop in AJ and Mary Haney’s garden.

Spencer was taken to a medical facility and consented to blood testing.
