Martin County Middle School girls soccer played an important conference game before spring break. The Lady Cards played their second conference game Monday night at home against Adams Middle School.
The first half saw Adams aggressively attacking the goal and scoring one by halftime. The Lady Cards were up to the challenge with Faith Caldwell scoring a goal of her own to tie the game.
The second half was fast-paced with both teams challenging every ball and getting several shots on goal. Martin County was down 2-1 when Annaleigh Davis found the back of the net to tie it 2-2.
Neither team could score in regulation, so the game went into two sudden-death overtime periods. If either team could score, the game would be over.
