Martin County Softball shut out Betsy Layne to start last week, then took a loss to Belfry before they turned things around and beat Floyd Central.

“I’m really proud of the girls for battling every inning,” MC Coach Jonathan Durham said. “We have had a few injuries but the bench has stepped up and done their part.”

This week, the Lady Cards are in action in the 15th Region All A Classic.

“We have a pretty tough schedule this week, starting with the All A against Shebly Valley,” Durham said. “If we minimize our errors and keep hitting the ball the way I know we can, we should be able to come away with some big wins.”

Below is a recap of last week’s games.
