Martin County High School Family and Consumer Sciences/Family, Community and Career Leaders of America adviser Connie Harless received a Decade of Service Award for 20 years of service last week during the 77th Annual FCCLA Leadership Conference in Louisville.

Harless’ FCCLA students Megan Mollette and Jayde Preece placed second for their Focus on the Children toothbrushing project, and Dakota Ward and Emma Gulley placed third in Entrepreneurship.

“I have a great group of students that stepped up to the plate and worked hard to make a difference in our school and community,” Harless said in a social media post. “Whether or not they placed at state, they were already winners before they competed, in my book. So proud of these students.”
