Below is a recap of both games:
LC vs. MC
Last season, the Lady Dawgs upset the Lady Cards in the opening round of the playoffs, so this game was expected to be a close one.
From the opening kickoff, the Lady Cards looked sharp with fast ball movement and shots on goal. Martin County had several missed opportunities early, but midfielder Aubree Muncy started the scoring with two goals in the first eight minutes. Faith Caldwell quickly followed with her first goal in the opening 10 minutes.
