PRIDE cleanup leaves 3-mile stretch litter-free

INEZ — The 3-mile stretch between the mouth of Turkey Creek and Helen Mills Road was litter-free after Saturday’s PRIDE cleanup.

Volunteers picked up 50 bags of roadside litter on both sides of Ky. 908.

“We were hoping for better numbers, but we’re pleased with those who did show up at 8 a.m. for the pickup,” organizer Cody Slone said. “We would like to thank everyone who helped make this event possible. Hopefully, in time, these events will grow and have better participation.”
